CREWKERNE AQUA CENTRE - SAFEGUARDING POLICY

1. Introduction

Crewkerne Leisure Management LTD are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We recognize our duty of care to protect and promote their safety and well-being and strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe,valued, and respected. In creating this policy, we have followed guidance from the legal framework; Working together to safeguard children and from the leading children’s charity the NSPCC.

2. Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, contractors, and anyone working on behalf of Crewkerne Aqua Centre. It applies to all settings where we provide services or activities.

3. Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) is Dan Swinnerton, Centre Manager. The DSO is responsible for overseeing the implementation of this policy, providing advice and support,and liaising with external agencies.
  • The Designated Safeguarding Officer’s Deputy is Michelle Butler, Swim School Co-Ordinator. The Deputy will be the nominated safeguarding officer during periods of absence and can also provide advice and support, and liaise with external agencies.
  • The Trustee responsible for safeguarding is Rhea Lewis. It is the responsibility of all staff, contractors and volunteers to report any abuse to the before mentioned team.
