Classes are 30 minutes once a week term time only.  Class sizes start at 6 for non- swimmers and under 10m swimmers.  Deep-water classes vary depending on ability.

Each term the Swim school follows a structure of lessons that will enable your child to improve confidence, stamina, fitness and stroke skills. 

Students are assessed on these skills and certificates and badges of achievement are available to purchase relating to the various skills, distances. 

Due to the swim schools popularity we do have waiting lists for most classes so we would recommend to place your child on the list as soon as possible, a form can be downloaded.

Lessons are also available as an intensive 1-week course during most school holidays.

A limited number or private lessons are now available.  The cost of a one-to-one lesson or a twin lesson (similar ability) can be found here .  These lessons are aimed at children who are having specific difficulties with learning to swim or need to work on one area of swimming e.g. Diving.  Adults who swim but want to improve technique may also find these suitable. 

Children with some learning difficulties may also find that one to one sessions are more appropriate.  One to one lessons are not really for children under 5 years as these children usually learn best in a group environment.  Equally for non-swimming Adults the small group lessons we offer with the Teacher in the water provide the best learning environment for most adults wanting to learn to swim.
