Gym Manager:                 Brendan Lightfoot

 

Brendan graduated from University College Worcester in Oct 2000 with an honours degree in Sport Studies with associated Health Studies. He joined the Royal Marines in 2001. On leaving the marines he worked in newspaper advertising for a couple of years before accepting employment at Spirit Health Club in Taunton. He joined Crewkerne in Feb 2008. He is married and has a beautiful 7-month-old baby boy. In his spare time, which he rarely gets, you may see him playing football, running or doing some form of activity.

 

Fitness Instructor:            Tom Baker

 

Tom has been an instructor at the centre since May 2006. Having trained to become an instructor he has enjoyed working among all our well-dedicated staff and all our fantastic members.  Helping many members to achieve their goals through dedicated fitness training programmes. Being a firm believer in the importance of personal fitness he loves to train hard and also enjoys reading, sport, computing and meeting lots of nice new people. Tom also plays an active role in our Pro-active referral scheme and co-ordinates our B-active scheme (exercise for 13-16 year olds). His regular boxercise training class is on a Friday night.

 

Fitness Instructor:            Kyle Follett

 

Kyle qualified as a level 2 REPS Fitness Instructor in May 2007 and more recently became a Level 3 REPS Advanced Instructor in April 2009.  He joined the Aqua Centre as a full time lifeguard, eventually being moved to the gym. Kyle is also a qualified Spinning instructor, Circuit and Core Instructor and he really enjoys taking the classes. His ambition is to move into personal training and work as his own boss. Kyle's interests are keeping fit, working out, playing football and socializing with friends.

 

Fitness Instructor:            Sarah Frost

 

Sarah joined the gym in April 2008 graduating in a BSC (Hons) in Sports Conditioning and Coaching from the university of the West of England. Sarah is a qualified level 2 REPS Fitness Instructor and plans to complete her level 3 in personal training. Sarah is also a qualified GP Exercise referral consultant and also a spinning, core stability and circuits instructor. Sarah has a special interest in injury rehab, weight loss and nutrition and enjoys keeping fit and staying healthy.
